Krishna Island Ferry Upgrade:

Visiting limited to Sundays only until further notice.

We are in process of installing a new engine on our Ferry. As a result, no visits are possible until work is finished. We will continue to welcome guests for our Sunday Feast.

You are most welcome to visit Krishna Island. We have our own large motorised Ferry, and smaller boats to bring guests to and from Krishna Island. We have preferred Ferry operating times, and we ask guests to arrive to co-incide with these times. It is necessary to contact us in advance to indicate when you plan to arrive. Please plan to arrive at our scheduled times. Remember, Ferry runs when booked! Please plan to arrive at quay 15 minutes before the arranged time.

We recommend visiting only during the following visiting hours for darshan.

  • 11:45 am: Ferry to island
  • 12.00pm: Second ferry to the island.
  • 12.30pm Arati and Kirtan.
  • 1.00pm Lecture
  • 1.45pm Kirtan
  • 2.45pm Sunday Feast
  • 4.00pm Ferry back to mainland
  • 5.00pm Second ferry returns to the mainland.

Ferry Donation:

To Help with maintenance of our Ferry, we ask visitors to donate €5 per adult for the return trip. Children 12-18 half price. Under 12 free.

How to Get there by Car:

To plan your trip by car, please click on the google map below for detailed directions. This will bring you direct to the car park at our ferry quay. You can also search “Hare Krishna Ferry Quay, Enniskillen” in google maps.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the arranged time. Also, leave an extra 15 minutes overall, as google maps does not allow for stops along the way!

How to Get there by Bus:

For those who are coming to Krishna Island by public transport:

FROM DUBLIN
Expressway Bus 30. Leaves from Busaras, Dublin city centre, and also picks up at Dublin Airport.
Your stop is Belturbet

The preferred bus is the 0930 that arrives in Belturbet at 1152

Taxi from Belturbet to Krishna Island Ferry Quay: €15. Call as soon as you board the bus to arrange the taxi trip. Please call Michael Lawlor Taxi at +353 86 6093744.

Notes: There is also bus x30, but it does not stop near Krishna Island.

For Return trip to Dublin, you can call Michael Lawlor for pickup to meet bus at Belturbet.

Air Travel:

Krishna Island can be reached via Dublin or Belfast airports. When booking flights, please be aware that Ferry crossings to / from Krishna Island cannot be arranged between 9pm and 6am.

It is best if your arriving flight is early, arriving by 16:00 or earlier. This gives you time to reach Krishna island. Your departing flight should be later, Departing 12:00 or later. However, it is possible to arrange accomodation nearby to allow for different flight times.

Connections via Dublin Airport:

Expressway bus 30 picks up at Dublin Airport, and goes direct to our nearby town. It runs once every 3 hours from 06:50 to 00:50.  Please click here for Expressway bus 30 timetable. Journey time 2 hours. You need to get out at Belturbet. You can pre-book a taxi from Bus to Ferry Quay. Taxi Cost €15. Please call Michael Lawlor Taxi at +353 86 6093744.

Please note bus X30 (on the same timetable) does not stop at Belturbet. Driver may agree to let you out at the bypass. Check before boarding.

Connections via Belfast Airport:

There is one change of bus. Please click here to see the travel details. Buses run every hour. Journey time 3 hours. You need to get out at Maguiresbridge.
