Organic Farm

The Krishna Island Farm project aims to promote non-violent farming by providing sanctuary to cows, bulls and oxen. These beautiful animals are extremely dear to Lord Krishna, and it was Srila Prabhupada’s vision that sustainable farms centred around cow care and protection would be developed.

Set within the Island gardens, our beautiful organic agricultural farm which grows vegetables and flowers throughout the year is providing food and sustenance for deity offerings and prasadam for all the devotees.

Visitors to Krishna Island Farm have the opportunity to help out in various ways, such as by feeding and grooming the cows and cleaning their living areas. When we make an effort to care for His cows in this way, Krishna becomes very pleased with us. You can also help out in the gardens any time of the year.

Visiting Times

You are most welcome to visit Krishna Island. We have our own large motorised barge to bring guests to and from Krishna Island. We have preferred barge operating times, and we ask guests to arrive to co-incide with these times. It is necessary to send a whatsapp message at least 2 hours in advance to indicate when you plan to arrive. Remember, barge runs when booked! Please plan to arrive at quay 15minutes before the arranged time.
