Namaste and Hare Krishna! We stand at the threshold of an auspicious moment in the journey of our beloved Krishna Island. Since July 1986, Krishna Island has been the home of Radha Govinda. Through thick and thin, our Krishna Island, has been the principal place of worship for ISKCON Ireland, and a sacred sanctuary nestled amidst the serene beauty of Lough Erne. We invite you, our cherished community, to join hands in realizing the vision of Radha Govinda’s home, as a transcendental haven for all seekers of truth and to provide a first-class facility for all who come.
Over the years by Their divine will, through struggle, unwavering dedication, and profound love, you the devotees, and the larger devotee community, have nurtured Krishna Island into a premier spiritual destination. Offering solace and inspiration to countless souls on their quest for God and enlightenment through Bhakti Yoga and Krishna consciousness and through your unwavering support, we have witnessed the fruition of numerous infrastructure upgrades and the creation of a new deity room. Having completed this first phase we now embark on the second part of our development plan and for that we need your help..
As we set our sights on the next phase of our journey, we seek your continued support and participation in realising the full potential of Krishna Island. Our vision encompasses the creation of a vibrant new quarter, complete with a spacious prasadam room and comfortable guest accommodations, ensuring that every visitor to our sacred abode experiences unparalleled comfort and spiritual nourishment.
At the heart of this endeavor lies the crucial need to secure between 20 and 40 regular monthly donors, whose steadfast commitment will provide the financial foundation necessary to fulfill our goals and honor our current successful loan obligations. By pledging a recurring donation of €20, €50, or €108 euros monthly, you not only become a vital contributor to Krishna Island’s growth but also deepen your personal relationship with Sri Sri Radha Govinda.
Krishna Island is not merely a physical space; it is a spiritual home, lovingly upheld and sustained by the devotion and generosity of its community. Our Goals
Our main goal is for Krishna Island, the home of Radha Govinda to be a first-class spiritual destination for devotees throughout Europe, the UK, and Ireland. Being one of Iskcon’s most unique temples, Krishna Island will eventually facilitate devotees, friends and guests alike is our brand new guest wing which we hope to have finished by 2027 as the last phase of our campaign.
Our immediate goal in this second phase is to further upgrade the building, the septic tank, the plumbing, the grounds, communications, and internet.
We have successfully applied for a grant to commence this work but to ensure we can service the loan repayments we need a commitment from those willing to step forward and help.
